The RESTORE2 Mini includes using soft signs to detect deteriorating and escalating concerns using SBARD. NEWS2 may be used in addition, depending on local competence and skill mix.
The Programme Management Office for Ageing Well are currently working with partners from Yorkshire Ambulance Service, Sheffield ECHO (St Luke’s Hospice) and Care home Managers to design a training package that will suit the needs of the care home workforce. The team are also working alongside the ReSPECT team to deliver a holistic training package, as both approaches compliment one another in practice and should be used in conjunction. More detail regarding how you can access the RESTORE2 Mini training for care homes will be available in due course. The current training is being planned to commence from spring 2023.
