ReSPECT stands for Recommended Summary Plan for Emergency Care and Treatment.
The ReSPECT process creates personalised recommendations for a person's clinical care in emergency situations when they may not be able to make decisions or express their wishes.
The ReSPECT process went live across Sheffield in May 2023. All NHS healthcare providers in Sheffield now follow the ReSPECT process for residents, patients and service users. These web pages provide information regarding ReSPECT as well as resources, training and FAQs.
