Improving flow along care pathways – learning from the Flow Coaching Academy
This report, which is based on the formative FCA evaluation completed in 2019 by RAND Europe and interviews with FCA programme leads during the COVID-19 pandemic, focusses on how the programme is planned, designed and implemented. It looks at:
- how local flow coaching academies have been set up
- how coaches have been selected and trained
- how care pathways have been chosen
- how pathway teams have approved planning and delivering improvement
This learning could be valuable to national and regional organisations, system leaders and improvement practitioners involved in commissioning, planning and delivering improvement programmes within the NHS.
